Hi all, my rear passenger indicator has stopped working and dash flashes quicker all other lights work as should and have tried new bulbs at the same time I have noticed that both cigar socket (12v) and heated seats have also stopped working.

All fuses and bulbs have been checked and not sure if the 2 are related any help would be great cheers.

Dave

Well so far I have found that my towbar relay is fried so I'm going to start by removing all towbar wiring, still no joy with cigar socket or heated seats and have re checked all fuses.

As with all electrical faults on these itââ,¬â,,¢s always worth a check of the door and tailgate wiring as they can cause all manner of odd problems. Also have a check of the fuse box next to battery as that can cause strange problems also.

Would vcds be any use Finding any of the problems on these;
Iââ,¬â,,¢ve got it if you want a scan mate?
If not, Iââ,¬â,,¢ve got a standard OBD scanner, too.

Srry for the late reply and thanks for the offer but already got vcds and tacho, still trying to find out whats up with 12v feed had to wait for new multimeter to arrive.

would there be a reason why there is no feed to fuses 7 + 8 i.e are they connected to a relay?

Dave
can you also check that fuses 9 to 12 have power as according to my TIS shows fuses 7 to 12 are fed from the 60 amp fuse in the battery fuse box

With VCDS lite (full version) need a code clearing or want to scan for faults in the north kent area, PM me. All for a pint of Strongbow.

Hmmmm yeh no feed to them also.

Dave
OK have a look at the battery fuse box, the 60 amp fuse is the one nearest the front of the car with the red and white cable, check the voltage here, this is fuse 103 and supplies power to fuses 7 to 12 so affected items not working would be;
F7 front lighter
F8 rear power supply
F9 heated seats
F10 multimedia if fitted
F11 headlamp washers if fitted
F12 booster heater

There is also a splice joint behind the main fuse box linked to the main supply that powers the glow plugs and heated front screen so depending wear the fault is they wont be working either

Yes Chirs you were spot on getting new fuse today so hopefully will be all sorted as I've already disconnected all the towbar wirering.
