Hi, I wondered if you kept the VW part numbers, or let me know how you found them ? The VW dealers I've tried want a VW reg number before looking up parts - I've found 02N 409 344 E and 02N 409 345 A but not sure if they would fit.

The stub is 02N409345 and is the same on all

The shaft (or flange shaft) as VW call carry:

02N409344E for gearboxes ERM FPE FVR FVQ FVP FPJ and FUX
02N409344F for gearboxes FJE FJG FPG FPH.

Yours being a 2002 is almost certainly a FUX box.
