Can you clean the ends of injectors with oven cleaner before fitting or is there another quick and easy way ?

Thxs Dave  :)

If you're talking about cleaning the injectors from a PD engine (Mk2 1.9 TDI), I'd be very careful about using oven cleaner as the PD injectors are manufactured to very tight tolerances and something like oven cleaner may be a bit too aggressive/ caustic.
Are you wanting to decarbonise the injector tips?

Just wanting a cheap and quick way but yes to your question.

I'd try caustic cleaners as a last resort, perhaps try some non aggressive solvent like petrol or carb cleaner, or a non-caustic oven cleaner, though keep it away from the o-rings and electrical connectors if you can help it, and rinse well!
