Hi and welcome5

Sorry to say you may have inherited somebody else's problem and you may want to get your money back now as this may get expensive but if your happy to have a go then read on.

First thing to check is the water pump as the impeller can become detached or even break up.
You can check the pump by removing the bottom hose housing from the block this is also where the thermostat is.
Make sure the impeller is fixed to the pump shaft, If that looks ok refit.
You also have an electric water pump on the bulkhead behind the fuel filter this should run all the time engines running and for 3 minutes after switching off .
Also check return pipe to coolant bottle is returning coolant while engine is running, you should see a small quantity of coolant returning through the small hose at the top of bottle .
Try running the engine with the cap removed and observe the coolant bottle does the level stay steady or does it rise and flow over continually.
Combustion gases leaking into the waterways causes continuous air locking, pressurising, overheating, fluctuating coolant level, cold heater.
All of the above can be caused by head gasket failure.

had a look today and one of the water pipes appear to be blocked  "think by reading the forums theres  a valve in it "  but unfortunatly spapped the plastic pipe on other end  so all on hold till  that gets repaired , thinking back run it b4 with cap off and there was no water flowing back thru top pipes

Yes there is a restriction in the pipe that can get blocked try cleaning it but don't remove it and leave it out, its there for a reason.

would that blockage be enuff to cause heaters not to get hot ?

If the restrictor is blocked any air cannot return to the bottle and just backs up into the system .

all put back together and all seems normal   blocked valve in pipe that returns to expansion tank   , both heaters got warm    and all seems normal , only query i have now    does rear heater work like a night heater in a lorry ? and give instant heat straight away ?

The booster heater that's the one under the passenger side floor is diesel fired and speeds up the warm up time by heating the coolant, the heater is completely automatic and has no user control unless you have the independent heating option, the rear compartment heater is controlled by the rotary knobs above the passenger seat on manual heating or from the digital display on climatronic
