Radio adapter

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there are any alternatives for the radio surround? I want to put an aftermarket radio in so will need to use an adapter to change from 1.5 din to single din, it would be nice to have a little cubby hole under the radio instead of the crappy blanking plate?

Get the centre console unit from the factory satnav cars's - its a true double din unit rather then the 1.5 (Or get a Sharan/Alhambra one as its two 1 din units) you can then get any 1 din adaptor to fill the second hole. VW generally do cubby hole type ones and some merc's have a door on the front of theirs.

Ahh I like the sound of that, so the sharan/Alhambra one is a straight swap? Need to get down. Breakers yard methinks!
