HI, can somebody please tell me how to change headlight bulbs on my galaxy mk2 and is it the h7 I need :)
Hello Lindabowering welcome5
H7 is the dipped beam bulb
H1 is the main beam bulb
Access to the bulbs is through the back of the headlight unit after removing rear cover, pull up spring clip to remove rear cover.
On the drivers side there is an additional piece of plastic that slides upwards first.
You should now be able to see the rear of the bulb albeit limited space, pull of the plug then unhook the wire clip, the clip is hinged on one side and will swing around once unclipped, you can now remove the bulb.
When fitting a new bulb do not touch the glass part.
Err H1???
I've only ever seen H7 for both main and dipped mate.
Pretty sure i got h1 and h7 in mine too

Fair do's - I stand corrected! :)
Main beam H1 only has a single connection H7 has two
You know I thought about this some more and still wasn't happy it was H1 fitted - I've just examined my spare 2005 Passenger side xenon lamp and its 100% a H7 in there, with that in mind I took the 2003 drivers side one out of the car and its also a H7. I can only assume that for some reason the xenon headlights have H7 whilst the halogens have H1...
Don't know about the xenons but halogens are these.
