Title: TIS Help - What is 413-00-00-03?
Post by: Fraz-ktf on September 30, 2013, 08:24:23 PM
Hi

I'm having trouble fully understanding the wiring diagram for the heated seat switches on the TIS.

The one wire I can't trace and don't know where it goes is the Grey/Blue that goes from the Passenger Heat Control Switch to "413-00-00-03"  -  My hunch is that it must be for the illumination of the switches but I'm only guessing.

I don't know what this is, can anyone please enlighten me?

also, what are the various number/letters (eg C309, S121, S3, C198 etc etc) please?

Finally, there appears to be no relay in this setup, is this correct?

many thanks

Grey/Blue wire's are nearly always illumination on VW's, just like brown wires are normally ground.

413-00-00-03 is the diagram is will appear on, normally you can click the number to be taken to that diagram and you'll find a corresponding coloured wire with a link back to the diagram number you've just been on.

C numbers are connectors, S numbers are electrical spurs (joints).
