Title: New car.. oooohhhhh
Post by: SPIKEY on August 26, 2013, 10:55:39 AM
Morning all,
hope your well, Not been on here in a little while.
After a recent car accident in which a Mercedes ended the life of my Galaxy I have now brought a replacement.
Got myself a 53 reg Galaxy ghia in black. Im well impressed with the level of extra kit and how it drives much smoother than my old one. Fingers crossed I don't end up with some of the issues I had previously.

I have the two rear seats in harlequin/anthracite from the old Gal sat in the garage, once I get some photo's will put them up in the market place if anyone is interested.

Loads of hours lost on that old car. I'm sure there will be plenty more on this especially when the cold snap comes and I find the aux heater won't fire up lol.

Will bare that in mind greggers thank you.
Don't suppose you have a couple of parking sensors do you??.
My system isn't working, have done the ticking check and it appears I have the outer two rear sensors not working.
Lost my vag cable so just ordered a new one to confirm its them.
Apart from that all is not too bad at the mo ( famous last words)

Hi Jimbo

I also haven't got any but there are a few on Ebay if that helps mate.

The clicking noise is not 100% as being OK, as you said wait for your new lead.

Seen eBay, one from Bulgaria at 23 quid new but not sure if its a genuine part although does say its for the same part number I have.
Will check with the lead for peace if mind and hopefully won't have to pay out where its not needed.
Will then hunt around for chrome pack and a tow bar

Cheers silverbeast, may be worth a pm to check.
Got my vag lead yesterday and sure enough its the two rear outer sensors that are faulty.
Clicking and listening method seemed to work in this case
