hi my ac not worked for about a year i had it i had it regased and they said i had a big hole some were so i looked and did not find well today i was fitting new fan belt and i see a ac pipe not ever collected to anythink i can not see were it goes on to but this may of bin off for long time do u think it wood be ok to find it put new pipe on and work or will it of done more things thanks for any help
If the pipes been broke off for a considerable time dirt and damp may have entered the system, you could either replace the broken pipe or it may be repairable.
This will enable the system to be vacuumed and pressure tested and if OK then regassed but don't be surprised if there are other leaks especially the condenser/dryer as this is quite common.

hi i have found it its of were the u bit goes down gone right on the bend u can see were i have pulled the pipe up get it out of the way it looks in your pic theres a joint in the pipe but can not see that thank s
That is the return pipe and has broken off from the back of the compressor the VW part number is 7M3820743R
hi thanks dont no if I can get it welded up or not do u no what size nut holds it to the pump and hows it held the other end thanks
You will need male torx socket not sure which size for the compressor end,the other end is a spring lock coupling, these tools are available on ebay or motor factors.
spring lock coupling can i get this of with a screwdriver and do i use same one to put back on thanks

VW dealer for new pipe, ebay or motor factors for releasing tool.
hi do i need the releasing tool to put the new pipe back on how do i get that round bit back over and do u get a new round bit with new pipe thanks i have cut old round bit off only way of geting it off with out the releasing tool thanks

That's a chance you'll have to take if you want any chance of it working, Iv'e had two pipes and the condenser dryer go on my MK2 all at different times and of course that's a regas every time, it can be an expensive time but has been good now for four years
