Hi,
Recently the headlights have become dull looking and appear to have shattered looking lens. Has anyone tried, or is it possible to restore them? Or is there such a thing as replacement front lens only? Thanks.
Ahhh the old speckly shattered looking headlight - There is nothing that will restore them as it's a break down of the plastic caused by UV (Some suggest its also possibly by using cheap shitty lamps). I'm not aware of anywhere that you can buy just the front cover however you can swap them out (I've done this in the past). You'll need a big oven that can go to a low temperature (circa 50*c), pop them in there for 20 minutes and then you can pry the front off the housing - refit using some black silicone.
Problem is, I probably would have to buy the whole headlight, I was looking for a more cost effective method, but I suppose you can't have it all! Thanks for the reply.
Ahh yes you would - they do come up from time to time on ebay in new condition. A while back a number of us bought brand new Passenger Side Xenon Headlights for about Ã,£25 if memory serves. The fronts/len's are the same as the halogen version btw.
