I have a 2004 Galaxy 1.9 Zetec Diesel.
Just started to have intermittent problems with Window & Lock Controls on the Driver side...
Just yesterday, after starting car, from the Driver's side I could not open the windows or lock the doors.
After restarting two or three times it worked.
When I got out of the car and locked the car, it locked fine. If you leave the key in, locked or open position, you can get the front windows to open and close. Sometimes it's worked and sometimes it didn't.
Unsure if it is the actual window/lock controls in the door or whether it is the actual key fob or the chip in the key
Any help appreciated.
I'm thinking it could be the battery going in the key fob, as the light appears faint at times.
I think you need to look into the drivers door loom for broken wires inside the gaiter.
