I have search the forum and I couldn't find a topic about.
my ford galaxy 66kw start on cold with 1000 rpm and stay there even on hot .
I have check the codes and I have nothing on engine.
I dont know where is situated the sensor for water?
Can be from the injection pump after they have change the belt? They didnt fix the idle for the pump?
What I can do ?
Thanks
Hi Ovi, and welcome to the forum! The idle is controlled entirely by the ECU so you almost certainly have a sensor giving defective readings - I would start by looking at the coolant sensor for the ECU as this has been known to cause your problem. It also rarely gives a fault code but just packs up!
Thanks for the answer.
Do you have a photo or just tell me where is situated?
Will start with this sensor untill the vcds arrives
Hi Ovi
Here is the link to replacing the temperature sensor.

thx chrispb.
it is not the same motor, mine looks like this
http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=279936 (http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=279936)
and in the front on the tube coming from the radiator i have 2 sensors one with a brown color the first and second is a black color , both with 4 cables and square connector.
i have disconnect the brown one and no change on the motor, then i disconnect the black one and the gauge of water doesn't work.
i have bot the brown one and change it and still my Rpm stays at 1000.
now on Thursday i will buy even the black one and change to see if i have a result.
Oops I sent you the Mk 2
The Mk 1 as I think you have already found on the front of the engine.

yes both sensors are in the same tube, one brown color and one black.
i need the black one to change because the brown i change it and no effect.
I will make some photos and upload them.
What I found with vag com was that my engine runs at 903rpm
And searching on internet I find many people have this rev on Ahu.
yesterday I had make it at 882rpm with the vag. Thats the minimum I could get.
thx
