I'm looking to do a gearbox oil change on my 2004 Ford Galaxy Ghia 1.9 tdi. The gearbox is an FUX/02Q unit. I've been told to use Dexron AFT is this advisable?
Dexron 3 would be suitable for the automatic 5 speed, but manual 6 speed would be a 75w90 GL4
Put your registration number into Euro car parts or GSF web sites see what they recommend.
Hi, I'm not sure of the transmission you have but I've a 2005 ford galaxy 2.8 v6 24v with the 5 speed automatic Jatco box. That transmission has to have a specific fluid that's not a common ATF, according to what I've researched putting a regular dexron ATF is a very bad idea and can cause very serious issues. It might pay to check with certainty which fluid you should be using.
