Good day from Somerset, UK
On one of my Mk2 Galaxys (2005) I am having dipped headlight problems and although I have most of the drawings for these cars, I have nothing for headlights. The headlight switch has 17 pins (2 heavy duty) in a twin row. Off, side lights, main beam. Pull for fogs (1 or 2 pulls).
The dipped beam lights just died! Used to working on these cars but need the pinout for the switch and if possible the pins for connection the central fusebox - tracing them will take a long time.
As far as I know, power for dipped lights IS passed through the light switch to the central fusebox, then to a fuse for each light (OK) and then the sensing circuitry. As the lights just died a couple of seconds after powering up, I suspect broken contact in the switch. Luckilly I have spares to try but if not that, I need the wiring drawing to see what has died where!
The main beam relay and lights work fine, so do the side lights - therefore fault must be on the feed side.
Any drawings and info gratefully appreciated
This is what the Hyenas manual shows me re headlights
I'm sure they use recycled toilet paper for these manuals nowadays as
the quality is crap and black text on dark grey for component ID
is stupid and annoying.
I tried to clarify a bit it in Photoshop and hope it's of some use
