Hi everyone, how are u all doing? Good I hope? Good.
So there I was, driving along the other day, the the computer went BING and a yellow engine light came on and the computer display read "EMISSIONS WORKSHOP!".
I could hardly believe my eyes! What on earth is all this about?
I haven't been able to get the fault code yet, but what on earth could this possibly be!
The car seems to drive fine. I had filled up with BP fuel about 1 min before the light came on; I always normally use Shell however. It was also a cold day and I was going up a hill.
I just could not believe it all.
Any wise ideas or suggestions mucho appreciated.
Thank You for your Service, as they say in America!
Emissions workshop means the ECU isn't able to correlate it's data, normally due to a sensor failing. TBF it could be any number of sensors causing that, so you'll need to read the codes and then probably do some live data logging to verify.
Thank you, this is really helpful to know.
Fascinatingly, approx 250 miles later, the light has gone off again. So it's back to normal.
What on earth could have caused that, I wonder.
Also the MPG seems a bit down, but not sure if that's just because it's cold outside and I have the trailer attached.
I wonder if the code will still be logged there.
Very strange indeed!
I got code P0101 so I changed the MAF sensor with a new one from Bosch and it seem better so far I think
Well done for finding the code and changing the MAF sensor. I hope that has fixed the problem, for you.
