The 1996 version was a collaboration Between VW and Ford. Ford left the joint arrangement in 2006 to make their own Mondeo based Galaxy. The VW version, was revamped in 2000, as was the Ford and Seat version. The 2000 year model ran until 2010 as a VW and Seat, when it changed completely and had nothing in common with the Ford /VW predecessor. Seat is a part of the VAG group along with Skoda and Audi.
