My regular mechanic at my place of work has checked out my brakes and can't find anything wrong yet the STOP brake fault waning keeps coming on, anyone know what this is all about?
It will come on for a multitude of things. Have you checked the fluid level for the brakes?
I'm sure my mechanic will have done all that. I wondered if it could be an electrical fault as I have had problems with that in the past
With respect, NEVER assume anything with garages/mechanics - Most think a "Full inspection and diagnostic" means just plugging the car into a fault code reader and whilst you may know him really well its the little things that are easy to overlook!
The warning message really can be for any number of faults, so yes, an electrical issue could be the cause. I assume he did scan the car for fault codes? What came back? What type of scan was performed as the Galaxy uses controllers that need to be individually addressed rather then a generic OBD2 scan...
Welcome to the forum Bossog your also our 1000th member woohoo cheers
The stop warning means there's a serious safety issue here and as Mirez has said can be caused by any number of faults and needs to be scanned with Vagcom/VCDS as this will give the best result
