Title: Alhambra 7n cuts out

I have a mk 2 alhambra that what I turn the key starts for a second then shuts off as if the immobiliser has kicked in sometimes can start first time other times can be 20 odd times also there is never a glow plug light on dash even for a split second I am at a loss of what to do but have had the gateway module suggested can anyone tell me where this is located in the car or have any other suggestions I would really appreciate help with this so I can get my family around before Xmas many thanks all

If its really a mk2 then relay 109 is where you'd be recommended to start looking.

Your profile suggests a 2011 which would be a different vehicle though. The 7n suggests its a mk3 as does the section you've posted in.

If it is a MK3 it would be a good idea to see if you can scan for any diagnostic codes - if the immobiliser isn't being unlocked this may be impossible to actually do so this might also prove useful in diagnosing the fault in any case.

As above scanning with proper VAG software is best place to start.

I agree, start with the VAG software and get some error code readouts.

Then thump the dashboard real hard like The Fonz or Biff from Back to the Future and maybe that will work. Perhaps even give it a dam good thrashing with a branch from a tree like Basil Fawlty.
