Hello, discerning consumers.
Where is the best place to buy tyres in this day and age?
Is it still Black Circles?
Thank you.
:thankx:
Also are there any places that give discounts to members of The Big Car Club, e.g. if you quote something like "BIGCAR2022" at the checkout. Maybe we could get some deals set up for members of this excellent club. And bumper stickers or car window stickers too.
I've found blackcircles can be fine, depending on the fitter you use or can be awful. I will never use ATS again after experiencing their handiwork through blackcircles.
I've generally found the smaller local chains tend to be better in their work for this sort of thing personally, but without knowing where you are its hard to recommend anywhere in particular.
Thank you Brian, I think I will give Blackcircles a go. I once used a mobile tyre fitter guy who kept on saying he used to fit tyres for some Formula 1 team but he jacked the car up at the wrong point and that made me a bit anxious about using him again.
For a good few years now, I have been buying my favourite brand online, after googling for the cheapest, for my 16" steel wheels, and taking the new tyres and wheels down to my local indie tyre service for fitting. The last time I checked the numbers, this was as good as, or slightly cheaper, than pitching up on the forecourt of a big chain (and suffering jacking point abuse).
