Hey all, I borrowed a trailer to do a dump run and since reversing it back onto the drive the reverse lights and parking sensors are completely dead. Which fuses should I look at? Is there one for the lights and one for the parking sensors?

Good morning madam, I have a similar problem on my Alhamb, basically when I put the fog lights on it blows the fuse if the trailer is attached too. I forget which fuse it is but it was one of the ones under the little flap below (and to the right hand side) of the steering wheel.
Could you perhaps obtain a set of needle nose pliers and check them all, it only takes a second or two to get the fuse out and hopefully may cure what must be a very frustrating problem for you.
I hope you get this fixed soon and have a lovely day

Sounds like your towing socket is at fault, it shouldn't blow the fuse.

Parking sensors can be disabled by having the trailer attached if its been wired up. Is this with the plug on the trailer still connected to the car? Not sure if it would disable the reverse lights as well but possibly? I think they normally disable the foglight on the car if its been wired up to do so. Its more likely its blown the fuse to the reverse lights if your trailer actually has reversing lights. Reverse sensors shouldn't have any connection to the 7 pin socket, is yours a 7 pin (7 pin may have 2 7 pin sockets, a white and black one) or 13 pin? Any damage to the socket, particually if its 13 pin may be causing problems.
Reverse light connection is on the white plug, that you don't usually use with a trailer, you'd be more likely to use it on a caravan as it also does the charging functions for the van.
