Title: Best tyres to suit Ford Galaxy WGR
Post by: derekod on October 02, 2021, 11:11:08 AM
I am at this time of the year again to change the tyres on my 2006 Ford Galaxy Zetec WGR spec, currently I have the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 215/55 R16 97 W XL and was thinking of replacing them with the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 tyres.
The only issue that I really noticed with the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance was that they didn't age that well and started to show cracks in between the threads as if if they were older tyres.
Even though I keep them at 40 psi they usually give the appearance as though the tyre is under inflated at  times.
Although the car is old now I like to keep the premium tyre on the car.
The last time I was at the tyre centre they said that the extra loads were not good enough for the Galaxy and they were trying to push a cargo rated tyre which I had on my previous 2002 galaxy that had the steel rims and supported it.
The Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 have good ratings for for tyre noise and performance.

Any good recommendations here for good mileage and keeping tyre noise down?

Good morning, sir!

I like using the Michelin CrossClimate Plus tyres on my own motor car.

I find they?re good in the summer and excellent in the winter! Lots of grip.

They have lasted very well too and the are nice and quiet.

I like having good tyres on my car.

I hope u get some nice tyres too.

A second vote for the Michelin Cross climates from me. I have 17" wheels and the tyres have excellent grip and last well.
