Hi I've got a 2007 TDCI 140bhp (WA6 MK2) that has a mot advisory reading "Suspension arm pin or bush worn rear lower" my question is, is that a straight forward job? Videos a bit sparse on YouTube. Thanks for any replies.
The front arm rear bush is pressed in to the arm so requires arm removal to replace. When mine were worn I went easy option and just replaced the arms as ball joints were iffy aswell.
I have since done other cars with similar bush set up and managed to pull arm out enough to use one of the screw type bush tools to pull old out and push new in. Just remove front and rear bolts and pull arm away from subframe and use a block of wood to hold it there while you work.
Thanks Johnny I've replaced arms before but always because of the front ball joint even if the ball joint could be replaced I've changed the whole thing. Better order a couple of arms then, it's both.
I think for what they cost itââ,¬â,,¢s easier to just replace the arms especially with my luck. If it was just the bush and I replaced that I guarantee a few months down the line either front bush or ball joint would fail.
