Title: Service Due
Post by: Russats on February 19, 2021, 06:20:26 PM
So my service is due. Iââ,¬â,,¢m confident I can carry out most of the filters. The only one Iââ,¬â,,¢m anxious about is the fuel filter. Are there any ââ,¬Å"how-toââ,¬Â guides please?

Any tips in advance would also be welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Nothing to worry about with fuel filter just swap it over and cycle ignition a few times to run the in tank lift pump to prime system. It may splitter and cut out when starting first time but it will soon settle down.

Iââ,¬â,,¢ve seen videos where you need to bleed it first etc?

Should I drain whatââ,¬â,,¢s in there too, or just swap in the new filter?

If it has a bleed nipple on the filter housing (not familiar with the mark3 type) some do like my old Alfa Romeo then crack bleed and cycle ignition. If not then just do 4 or 5 ignition cycles to fill it.

I normally drain the filter housing if it has a water drain on the bottom.
