Title: Car Shampoos
Post by: Mirez on December 04, 2020, 04:33:16 PM
Ok, so its been a while since I bought car shampoo as I've been making my way through 50L of Aldi's finest but what are people using? Normally I wouldn't much care and just get a 5L tub of something circa Ã,£10/15 but I've just seen a number of 5L ones in Euro which are upwards of Ã,£50... who's using THAT stuff!!?

I've seen one on there that specifies 400:1 dilution going for over Ã,£40, but that would work out to 2000 litres of diluted product. Which at the rate I wash the car at, would last longer than the car!

Much the same here - the boot on mine currently has a texture somewhat comparable to p180 grit sandpaper so probabbly due a wash, though more likely the rain will deal with it (hopefully!)

I like to use the Triple QX stuff from Euros.

The main thing I think is to use one with wax in it and use a good old dollop when you fill the bucket. Also chuck away the water when it looks like itââ,¬â,,¢s getting dirty.

The main thing is to use a nice cotton glove thing instead of a sponge. The man at the car wash says that sponges just rub in grit but if you use the frilly glove thing then itââ,¬â,,¢s far quicker and better for the car too.

I love keeping my Alhamb nice and shiney looking!

Truth be known however, itââ,¬â,,¢s the inside that really makes the difference.

I use the Autoglym bodywork shampoo conditioner, it's not very good value for money when bought in the 500ml size but you can buy a 2.5 litre container of it for around 20 quid, which lasts me in the region of a couple of years.
