Hi everyone,
Thanks for reading my message and hopefully I ll get solution also as I am new in this forum and i have a Alhambra Reg12, 2L DSG and the car smell almost all the time when is strat very bad smell like fumes and are all round car and very strong even I got headaches by this smell I have changed Pollen filter and I have discussed with few expert persons but no one has solution for this :'(
So guys does anyone face this problem or any idea what could be? ???thanks a lot
Almost impossible to diagnose something like that over the internet. All I can suggest is check the usual stuff like exhaust condition, for any signs of oil/fluid leaks. Also the breather system to make sure oil vapour isnââ,¬â,,¢t leaking somewhere. I assume the smell originates on exterior of car somewhere from your description?
What garages have you tried to get a diagnosis at? Might be worth hunting down a vag specialist
Thanks so much Boss for your reply and I take my Cars local garage and I am satisfied with his service.and regarding this issue they have diagnosed 2 faults.
1-Intake Air Temp.Sensor.
2- Cylinder 4 Glow Plug Circuit.
So they said these faults can't provoke smell (thing I can't say nothin mot I don't know as I am not a mechanic)
And what I have noticed is when car is stop and if accelerate it then I smell more and also noticed morning time is more exterior and interior. Anyway where are you located ?
Thanks
Auxiliary/booster heater fault assuming you have one fitted, think they use the Webasto heater on the later cars.
Good shout there Chris forgot about the boost heater, although too be fair wasnââ,¬â,,¢t aware later ones had them

Our last Motability car was a 64 reg Sharan that had the Webasto heater, mounted in the engine bay as opposed to under the car.
