hi gang , best way to remove engine from my galaxy , will it come out with or with out gearbox , regards phil

Fairly sure it is designed to come out as a whole unit attached to subframe from below on mark 3 galaxy, however you may be able to lift engine out from up top and leave gearbox in as 1.8 is relatively small lump. I donââ,¬â,,¢t know if there is enough room on offside to move engine over when lifting out for DMF to clear the bell housing?

I have certainly taken engines out before where official guide is take the lot out but I have been able to remove just engine. All depends how much room you got on offside.
