Title: Range is not showing on the onboard computer
Post by: alexdukes on July 01, 2020, 03:59:28 PM
Hi Everyone,

I have just bought a Galaxy 1.9 TDi Ghia.

I have the 2 line dot matrix display on the dash and it shows all the information for 'Trip 1' and 'Trip 2', but all I can seem to see is the current MPG, average MPG, time driven, average speed and distance. The second line shows temperature constantly.

Is there meant to be an option to see the range remaining in the tank? If so, I can't seem to find it?

Any ideas?

Looking forward to reading your replies and your help.

Thanks

Nope, no range option on the Galaxy until Mk3 due to an internal arrangement during collaboration with VW. The cluster is capable though, you just need to turn it on within software. The details are in the knowledge base if you want a go :)

My mk2 alhamb has range although tbh itââ,¬â,,¢s easier just to use the fuel gauge. I fill the tank every 200 miles anyway, I never know when the next fuel strike might hit

Correct, the Alhambra and the Sharan both have the facility but not the Galaxy. Its relatively useful, although the gauge is accurate enough so going to the effort of enable it isn't for everyone.
