Title: Battery replacement
Post by: Stevie t on November 25, 2019, 11:04:30 PM
Just be aware if yours is a pd130 some  suppliers will list a 75 AH as a replacement which is totally inadequate to turn over the the lump when it's cold. You most definitely need at least 85AH  which was what my old one was but I decided to fit a 95 AH with no problem at all with space. What a difference it's made on the cold mornings, bags of umph !

I had to replace the battery on my Galaxy recently, same engine as you. I used the guys linked below (have used them before and found them to offer good service and a good range). In the link are their recommended batteries for my vehicle spec, which are all model 019 and the lowest rated battery of this type on there is 82Ah, though the majority are 95-100Ah.

Always get the biggest battery you can and yes Yuasa is a very good brand, I have enjoyed using their lovely batteries for many years
