hi guys. :) ok so ive jut replaced the paddles in the front door locks as the old ones where broke and its great that door locks and unlocks properly now but if i try to lock it by the key from the outside and unlock it and open the drivers door the alarm goes off. :o if i shut the door n lock and unlock it again the alarm dont go off..........any ideas guys? they are 2 door pins missing but i wouldnt of thought these would of made a difference. im having to open the rear drivers door to lock it from the inside then i can open it from outside with the key. fobs still duff >:(
look under the passenger seat for your VERY OWN SWIMMING POOL.
waters mopped up now so hopefully shouldnt be anymore. is the alarm moduel under the seat? theres a wiring loom under there but couldnt feel any thing else. dont really want to remove the seat to look. 8) could the lock be duff in the door? another thing i noticed is the passenger side door dont lock the rest of the doors when locked from inside? sumit to do with it? :-\
Can you clarify what you mean by "pins missing" ?
It sounds like the barrel switch isn't working so although its unlocking, the alarm isn't being told it's been unlocked
cheers mirez :) the pins that operate the interior lights when the door opens.daft thing is if the door is shut n locked n unlocked again straight away it dont do it ??? im thinking maybe a intermitant doorlock/actuator? there built in the doorlock aint they. think i,ll replace the two front ones and see if that cures it. cheers guys ;)
Swap the door ajar switch with one of the others first, I remember there is something special about how the drivers one works just cant remember what lol.
cheers mirez. i,ll swap the passenger side one.i,ll let you know if it works. 8)
