Title: Small lights on light console by mirror

Noticed today two small lights on the passeger/driver overhead lights by mirror.Ther is the middle light comes on when door opens.Then the two reading lights.i noticed on the front 2 small orangey colour lights.They only come on when i switch lights on.Wot is the purpose they appear to face the front.?????

Usually to illuminate the gear lever area slightly at night.
