Hi All
Have to replace the front wishbone on one side of my Mk2 Galaxy (2003) - I cant find the torque setting anywhere
The best I have found is for the front bolt 90Nm + 90 degrees extra.
Does any one know the true setting for the front bolt the rear bolt and the ball joint?
Also I guess the full official workshop manuals are not available online anywhere?
Many thanks
Colin
Not sure, but itââ,¬â,,¢s good to see someone doing a job properly. So many people these days donââ,¬â,,¢t even bother using a torque wrench.
Don't really see why you wouldn't - the settings have been worked out by the design engineers for a reason!
Anyway all done - 90Nm + 90Ã,° on the 2 big ones and 45Nm on the ball joint.
Bit of a guess for now but when I find the real answers i'll know how far out I am and be able to adjust.
So if anyone does know i'd still be pleased to find out please.
Colin
Hi,
I've looked it up in Ford TIS:
Lower arm ball joint retaining nut: 30Nm + 90Ã,°
Lower arm to crossmember retaining bolt (front and rear): 90Nm + 90Ã,°
I've done it myself too :)
Hope this can help you
Information is also availeble here:

Thank you for that link, Orbis. It is much appreciated.
Hi Orbis
Many thanks - don't think I was too far off.
i'll keep this to hand for the other side at some point
Colin
It might be an idea to print them and keep them hanging on the wall in your workshop, for reference.
