I have a much loved 2005 Ford Galaxy 2.3 Automatic and I'm having lots of trouble getting the correct alternator wire that goes to the battery. My wire has burnt and melted and I can't seem to get one that fits. Anyone have any ideas on this? I don't think Ford actually sell them anymore??
Make your own, measuring your old cable 16 mm2 cable plus 2 ends preferably with sealed ends. Change the battery fuse box as well. You could easily do it for less than Ã,£50. You should be able to find everything on Ebay.

Thank you marcushamblin1976. That's the best option I think.
I looked on Ebay see a 2 metre 110 amp with the ends already on there for less than Ã,£10 delivered, might be worth getting a new end in case you need to shorten it.

Solder the ends on while your there, the reason the original cable melts is due to the crimp on the end getting hot due to poor contact, Can cause the fusebox in the engine bay to melt if left like it, those are available though if required.
