Hi there everybody could somebody please be able to tell me what the voltage is from the TCM to the G38 speed sensor as this is the fault that the VCDS has given me. I want to check to see if I need a new TCM or a new speed sensor. PLEASE HELP as I am disabled and on benefits so money is tight.
Yours Sincerely
John Foster.
Hi John, most signal voltages will be 5V. TCM failure is extremely rare.
I only have 2.5 volts at the sensor any other idea's why this would be. Would the sensor lower the circuit when it's plugged onto the loom.
Yes you should measure with the sensor out of circuit. It's also worth checking your ground resistance measurement.
Ok I will do that. I will purchase a new sensor so I have got something to measure it against if that cures the fault I will have killed 2 birds with 1 stone. I will get back to you as soon as I have done it. Many thanks for the moment.
