my heating is working ok but dont know about the cooling aspect, not much demand at the moment!!
however it does all flash for a while when the ignition is turned on, from reading other posts this is telling me there could be a fault. is there a way of getting the fault to display on the screen or is it a laptop jobby?
p.s. sorry to bombard with so many faults but you guys seem to have lots of the answers and i have lots of questions!! lol.
many thanks
lee.
irrc if the unit flashes for a few seconds then there is a fault somewhere, anything from requireing a regas to a split in a pipe?
you will need vag com, chris or mirez will point you in the right direction for this,or do a search as it has been mentioned, and it may even be in the faqs?
hey lee. got the same problem with my mk1 galaxy as yours. the display flashes for about 15 seconds which according to the user manual.......... found it in there after i asked on the forum lol means it has logged a fault. ive botched mine at the min so i have heating to demist the windows till i suss the fault.ive bought a code reader but aint plugged it in yet to see.error codes can be cleared with a code reader/laptop and the correct software :)
Cheers!
Looks like I will have to do the same, the hearing does work ok after the flashing stops so might just need a re-gas.
I see you have similar model, do you get a noisy start up from cold?
i get a slight twittering noise but it only does it if its been raining and splashed up onto the alternator belt.........well i believe that to be the case anyways :-\. im sure i read on the forum somewhere that the display flashes if the aircon needs a regass. mine dont work so duno if it needs a regass lol.also got a servo/sensor missing from the rear heating on mine........... was like that when i bought it so might be the fault with mine ;)
The flashing panel means a fault codes been logged, could be any number of things causing it although low pressure is the normal cause!
thanks,
looks like its being added to the ever growing list for now.
