hi guys. just wondering where the sensor is for the remote fob. i tryed to programe the fob by following the instructions in the user manual which following the instructions made all the windows roll down. :o when i did get the led in the door to stay on solid and tryed programming the fob it wouldnt work.any ideas guys? :)
Early Galaxys have infrared locking, you cant miss the sensors as they are big and chunky (one by rear view mirror, one in the middle of tailgate opening). Very view have them though as radio remotes (RF) quickly replaced IR so there is no sensor as such, just an antenna built into the CJB
cheers mirez. cjb? sorry im still learning about these cars lol
:)
Central junction box = the fuse box next to steering column.
ahhhhhh get ya.cheers chris 8).wondering if the actual fob is duff. it is a bit beat up.changed the batterys in the fob but made no difference. >:( is there as fuse that could of blown? daft question i know :-[
Nope no specific fuse for remote locking, its part of the central locking fuse.
Fob is the fabourite, they aren't that robust to be honest by comparison to other makes ;)
tbh mirez all the botched/broken and mising bits on my car i wouldnt be supprised if it was the wrong fob.some opperate on a different frequency dont they? ive got no chance of finding what frequency mine is do i? ???
No I believe all uk galaxys use the same frequency, but thats different to 99% of VW's / Fords. Thats probably what they mean as normally you get one frequency across the manufacturers range
