I've fitted the upgraded clocks to my van and fitted the stalk so now have the trip computer with MPG, average speed tell etc but the outside air display just shows ---.-- . I fitted a Mondeo outside temperature sensor and found the plug for it already in place in the engine bay but still no joy. Anyone else done this or know why it's not working?
You've done it all correctly, just need to enable it within software now. The plug is normally taped to the loom with a dummy plug fitted and if its there (as in your case) then its prewired all the way back to the BCM.
You'll need IDS or ForScan to make the change, which is in engineering mode level 2. Turn on "Trip Computer" and set "Cluster Level" to Level 2 and then it'll start giving you the temperature and the snowflake warning when it gets cold out :)
