Title: Clicking from passenger wheel arch when ignition off
Post by: Dave Hathaway on July 27, 2018, 05:03:45 AM
Hi, I am getting a loud clicking noise from the front passenger wheel arch when the car is parked and ignition off. Sounds maybe like an electrical switch is turning off/on? Doesnââ,¬â,,¢t happen all the time, no obvious pattern to noise!

Any ideas? Doesnââ,¬â,,¢t sound like itââ,¬â,,¢s coming from the engine bag, more behind the wheel arch?

Very strange!

Any thoughts welcome, supposed to be driving to France tomorrow!

Yes that is very strange only things I can think of are the metal pipes to rear heater or run on pump? Cannot think of anything else that could cause something like that?!

Or expansion bottle making a noise if it is releasing pressure due to a pressurising cooling system?

Hmm, a bit more digging around tââ,¬â,,¢interweb and I was leaning towards it being the relay for the back-up alarm sounder? Thatââ,¬â,,¢s the only thing I could find thatââ,¬â,,¢s located there?

ABS pump sounds more problematic!!!
