i was nice to the father inlaw and baught his poorly galaxy off him and could do with some help if any one can   ::) its a 2001 2.3 petrol he was driving along and said it started to run lumpy he drove it home and we had a quick look its only running on 2 and 3 day after we changed his plugs and coilpack, ht leads and the problem is still there it is sparking on 1 and 4 but it is very weak. he was going to scrap it but hes just motd it and taxed it renewed disks and pads all round the exhaust, rear calipers tyres hes the second owner from new and its only done 85000 miles so hoping to get it back on the road? any help please  :'(  :'(

I'm trying to remember the layout of the 2.3, the coils are on 2 & 3 with leads to 1 & 4 iirc? The lack of omph after the leads could well be down to a supply voltage/current issue. Get a meter on the inputs and see what voltage you have.

Thanks for the reply  getting ecu checked and yes one coilpack for all plugs 2 and 3 are on one side and 1 and 4 on the other i checked today with a test light there's 3 wires going in and the centre one is a switched live guessing theres an earth what's the other wire?  DOesnt seem to have any power 2 it  capris are so much easyer :)

Hello and welcome to the forum.
The engine wiring loom is prone to heat damage and is often the cause of misfiring and bad running.

Wiring and connectors to the injectors but don't overlook the other sensors around the engine bay.

Il give the sensors a go over don't think the wiring to the injectors will effect its sparks thanks again
