I have a leak in the aircon pipe that runs from the bottom of the condenser round the drivers wheel arch and round the back of the engine (its the one with the sensor on it ) anyone got any tips on how to get it out, and what the best way to get to the pipe behind the engine ? over the top or under ?
Thanks
Ged
You will probably need a tool to release the spring clip - I've used these other similar ones exist

It may help to have a replacement one of the spring ring bits and some of the compressor oil, as well as some new seals. If its the type of joint with the spring holding it together what usually happens is the seal thats supposed to keep all the rubbish out of the spring falls off, allowing the spring to get stuck in place and breaks apart when you remove it (if you can get it to come out in the first place!).
Can't advise on getting it out, as the only ones i removed were on a mk1 petrol, and had the engine out at the time (which makes it much easier, but a bit of a drastic way to do it!)
