Does Anyone know if the mk3 galaxy is fitted with the smart alternator charge system. I've got an error the the smart system circuit. Bit j don't see the 3 wire plug at the alternator
All I see is the main lead to the battery
And a plug with a single blue wire which n believe is the battery light lead.
It should be smart charge. Certainly was when built. But that doesn't mean that it is now....
Is there anyway I can be if it should be a smart charge system. And wether it's had the wrong parts fitted to it in the past all I have is a plug on the alternator with a single blue lead and I can't get this battery light off the dash for the life of me
I had a 61 reg MK3 and that had the single blue wire, there are a lot of cases where the small wires break/corrode in the loom anywhere but usually within 2 feet from the alternator, not just on Galaxy's
