Title: Rear parking sensors
Post by: Roly69 on May 18, 2018, 10:56:25 PM
Evening all I'm having issues with my rear parking sensors I was getting a solid tone then it goes off the light flashes for a but then goes off I checked underneath only to find a broken wire but was too short to fix so got a new loom fitted it but still getting the same issues. My question is how can I test them I've tried seeing if any click but it doesn't stay on long enough I don't really want to buy 4 new sensors just wondered how to test them. Thanks in advance.

The diag software will be able to pin point it better without trial and error method.

Looking at your profile I assume you have a mark 3 so a cheap eBay elm lead and forscan should help you out.

Failing that you could get 1 new sensorand try 1 at a time to see if you can identify a dodgy sensor, having said that any error will give the steady fault tone so diag is best option.
