Title: Stuck in the snow...
Post by: Mirez on January 21, 2013, 09:55:21 PM
Well I've been stuck before but always managed to free it myself so this was the first time I've needed to be recovered!

Had to go down a little used lane today but where tracks have been compressed the centre of the road was deap snow - got about 1/2 mile down and then hit a very high patch. Result? 1x beached Golf, 1x 30min wait and one happy A4 Alltrack owner as he got to show off and haul me out lol

Apparently more snow on the way tomorrow - joy!

soz bud missed this post of yours, cor wish we had snow like that,we had a bit of a flurry on friday and the youngest got sent home at 11,then the snow stopped.quite a few inches on saturday then all day sunday which between thawing etc meant about 3" in all.nothing really to bad, must admit though this year the gritting teams were well on the ball on main roads etc.

It's been quite bad here, but generally the gritters have been very good, they even did the side roads on Sunday which was nice!

From my dash cam:

thats the sort of downfall we had last year, which we get only every few years depending on direction,as we have the south downs which protect us.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360543704669

Things I would point out:
1) Its not real HD, but it is close and one of the best I found
2) Its shipped from china to portsmouth and then to you so not really UK!
3) I found the rear camera caused more trouble then its worth
4) Has a flat to screen mount, no suction cup.. yeehaw!

Anything else you wanna ask mate feel free!
