Title: Ford Galaxy defroster problems
Post by: roger82 on January 19, 2018, 09:32:54 PM
Hello!

Its cold  in sweden at the moment and today when I drove home my with my galaxy the ventilation system didnt do its job... (hope U can read and understand my english)

I didnt get any air up to the windshield. Its a manual system with AC. When I adjusted between defroster->driver->feet it only blew air to the driver.

Sometimes the heat switch react a little slow and I cant get cool air until the the switch is down to coolest, it reacts a little slow, but i guess thats another problem..

What can I check? I guess nothing can be checked with VAG COM?

Grateful for tips!!  //Roger

Sounds like your control panel is failing and not telling the flap motors to operate correctly.
You can try unplugging the panel and plugging back in again as that can reset the system.
Have you got registered vcds/vag com? If you have you can test/calibrate the motors if memory serves correctly.
