Hi Darren, P1719 is just a general code that gets flagged by the ECU when it knows something isn't right but can't pin-point it with a specific code. Its primarily caused by a mis-match between expected and actual engine torque values but other causes could be:

Defective Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Wiring or Connection
Defective Input/Turbine Speed Sensor (Speed Sensor)
Defective Shift Solenoid(s)
Defective Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
Defective Gearbox Temperature Sensor
Defective Valve Body
Invalid or missing data for engine torque value (from ECU)
Dirty or weak transmission fluid

It's interesting your car has flagged it as its largely always an autobox code! I would start by looking at the ones that are non autobox and go from there (ie speed signal, engine temp).

I am like you I have this problem too. What should I do with it?
