Title says it all really, my Alhambra had an oil and filter service 5K miles ago yet today the display is showing "Inspection due 18 days". The service menu tells me I have 9,500 miles until the 'oil service'. I'm struggling to find what an 'inspection' is (other then a way for VW to take some more money) so can someone confirm what they do on an inspection service and what the difference is between it and a normal oil service? ???
Not sure on those but it sounds very much like the bmwââ,¬â,,¢s I have had in the past where you have oil service then next time itââ,¬â,,¢s inspection 1 then oil service then inspection 2 etc. Sounds like the system hasnââ,¬â,,¢t been reset properly to me,have you got service history from previously to see if there is a pattern similar to how bmw Work?
Might be worth quick call to dealer on Monday as they may have not reset it all properly??
If your happy with the service and donââ,¬â,,¢t want to pay for another or at least an unnecessary charge to reset the service light;
From ignition off, no keys.
Press and hold the right trip button, keys in, ignition on and running.
Let after 5 seconds, then turn the left ââ,¬ËœClock/timeââ,¬â,,¢ button to the right and it should reset itself.
Some garages charge like Ã,£20 for that to be done... ;)
