When I start my Gal I get a squealing / crunchy noise for about a second after releasing the key. It's not doing it at any other time but dunno what could be causing it? I checked the oil level and belts etc could it be the starter itself? It starts first time everytime? ??? ???
Probably alternator clutch pulley seizing up.
You should be able to turn the fan blades in one direction only with very little effort without removing drive belt.
Possibly as above but most times that also shows up under full lock of the steering. Could it be the starter sticking on?
Is there a way to tell if its sticking?
You were correct! Swapped the motor with my sisters sharan and she now has the problem! To change it back or not... lol
Cheers for the help both!
My x type does the same after previous DMF issues,I will take it off and clean/lubricate one day...... weââ,¬â,,¢ll if it donââ,¬â,,¢t totally fail before then anyway.
