Hello. I have found several problems in all 4 doors in my sharan 2005. Lots of the wires are broken. And now i have fixed them but have still som problems.
1. Only sound in one speaker.
2. The central locking system doesnt work and the backdoors wont close.
Have anyone had the same issues?
yep common problem,im afraid you will have to check, check, and check again in all door gators.including the rear hatch top right hand side.
Did you unplug looms from socket on a and b posts? If so could be the little blocks working post sockets pushed back when refitting the plug, had that on my offside rear door caused the central locking to not work. Had to remove b post train to get at rear of socket to push it back in.

No. I havent. Just rewired the cables and put it back together.
In that case I would say you missed some or some did not re connect properly. You need to have another good look at the door looms for damaged cables
Hello. I have trouble getting sound out of my speakers on the right side. And in this car the cables look like their mounted in only left and right side. Not forward and rear also.have someone been into this problem?
Sorry I donââ,¬â,,¢t really understand what your issue is. Are you saying in your car you only have left and right and no front or rear? I.e when you go to fader on head unit you cannot put just front speakers on or just tears?
If thatââ,¬â,,¢s the case sounds like someone been messing with wiring or you have broken wires in doors affecting things,is it standard head unit and have you checked plugs at rear?
I have changed from standard to an kenwood dab unit. But i have seen the original inputs and therefor i can say that the original contact is just 4 wires and that is left+ and -. And right + and - .
Someone's been a tinkering then! The original setup is 8 wires and 6 speakers for ALL mk2 variants as a minimum. Premium sound got 4 extra speakers but they were in parallel with the others. If you only have 4 wires then someone has been messing about with the wiring already, most likely to install an amp somewhere.
But on the original player there is a picture of how the connectors look. And the cable look exactly like the picture on the player.
This is the car in your details? A 2005 Sharan?
Can you take a photo?
I dont know how to send images.. always comes error.
Probably the file size, reduce it and then attach or lower the quality on your phone before taking it.
Uh-oh An Error Has Occurred!

Well it must be that elsewhere other then the UK they do a Sharan with only 2 speakers - I stand corrected!
20W isn't a high output but its higher then you would have for an amplifier so it appears you do literally have just two outputs / 4 wires.
So next question, do you have speakers in the rear doors?
Yes. My guess is that both front and rear are connected but i wonder why and where the connection is.
A loss of sound on both would suggest its connected within the drivers door, Do you get any sound? If yes is it equally intermittent on both doors?
Only get sound on both left speakers and not on right side.. since there where alot of broken wires. I wonder ifthere may be some fuses or relays blown?
No there are no relays or fuses for speaker circuits. The wiring for the 3rd row speakers (if you have them) is wired off the rear doors. I suspect that if you dont have them then the rear doors will be wired off the front doors so you may have to go over the wiring in the door again.
Dont forget that when they get really bad they often break in two places so you are best off removing the loom for full inspection
If no success after checking wiring check the radio for out put in case amp has gone down.
i have now located a little more. in the iso contact in the car its only 4 pins. left side is connected to 2 and right side to 2.
so where is the cables connected together. have anyone had this issue before ?
