Hi all
I replaced the Turbo on my daughters MK2 1.9 galaxy recently. It is rough on start up and blowing out a lot of blue'ish smoke. It did this when I had replaced the turbo, but I thought it was just engine oil from the old turbo blowing.
It runs great when warm or even after a few minutes, but when cold it is not good.
My thoughts are that it could be faulty glow plugs and the blue ish smoke is unbutnt diesel ?? Or it could be the valve guide seals that are allowing oil to drip through. I am not familiar with glow plugs, so am not sure of the charactaristics of a failed or fouled plug. Any input appreciated.

One or two U/S plugs would give uneven running and smoke during warm up especially this time of year, you can test these with a continuity test, bulb or meter, could also you suggest be valve stem seals and possibly injector seals or worst case engine bore wear, a compression test could confirm this.
