hi.whilst driving yest,my dash lights became irratic,wipers stopped and lights dimmed.when i stopped and turned off the engine it wouldnt start again,battery was dead.i put a new battery in it this morning and car ran for about an hour then done exactly the same.any ideas.thanks

Welcome to the forum.
Check fuse box by the battery
you may have melt down.
