I was involved in an accident, my Galaxy was hit from behind: minor damage to bumper, parking sensors and some scratching to tailgate.
The repairs were carried out by the insurer and when i got the car back it displays a new error: 'child lock malfunction'. The key fob no longer locks or unlocks the rear doors, and the child lock button on the door panel has no effect. The rear windows can no longer be opened from the driver door and locking the driver door from the inside no longer locks the rear doors.
Can anyone tell me how to resolve this malfunction? could it be a result of the rear collision or the repairs?
Thanks for any help!
That'll be as a result of them either flattening or disconnecting your battery.
Get in and close all doors
Turn the igition on but dont start the car
Press the child lock button on the drivers door for 1 second, release and then press it again for 1 second.
That should reset the system :)
